Chili Cookoff Rules - Cooks please sign up at Galano 
  1. Contestants should read and agree to all the rules prior to sign-up.

  2. Contestants must be at Rock Springs Church on Saturday March 9th no later than 5:30 PM to set up their stations.

  3. Due to space limitations, decorations should be kept to a minimum.

  4. Chili must be prepared in advance and brought ready to eat. All contestants must keep their chili at a safe serving temperature of at least 140 degrees.

  5. The chili recipe must not contain any alcoholic ingredients.

  6. Contestants should bring a minimum of 1 gallon of chili. Keep in mind that the more you bring the more people will have the opportunity to sample it and potentially vote for your chili.

  7. Contestants must provide their own heating apparatus (Crock pot, hot plate, Sterno, etc.). If bringing an electric appliance, please bring an extension cord. Power strips will be provided, however, if you have an extra one you may want to bring it with you.

  8. Contestants are responsible for providing their own utensils (ladles, spoon rests, etc.) and anything related to serving their chili.

  9. Contestants are responsible for keeping their station clean during and after the contest.

  10. A condiment table will be provided by the committee with crackers, cheese, sour cream and chopped onions. Bowls, spoons and napkins will also be provided by the committee.

  11. Ticket price waived for one person per entry.
